Lost Moments Of Love

Started with a quick hello
friendship grew the story goes
A trust, a bond, soon became
a close encounter, lovers game

Moments shared with deepest care
caress's, touches, love was shared
That flickering spark soon became
ultimate passion, a glowing flame

Although their love was solid, true
T'was other commitments this they knew
And so their happiness was set aside
now lonely nights and daily cries

Two lovers lost within themselves
their feelings set up on the shelf
Smiles replaced with grief, despair
pretending that they do not care

Now going on with their lives
she all alone, he with his wife
Both thinking how it should be, if
things were different, he was free

A sad and lonely ending
to a love so rare and true
A beautiful beginning~now
lost moments of love ensue
