Love Is

Love is a journey we travel alone
Some search forever and never find home

Love is a nightmare, love is a dream
Love is an illusion to most it seems

Love builds you up and then lets you down
It can break your heart without a sound

Love screams out your name and draws you near
Then runs and hides leaving nothing but fear

Love is a game that toys  with your heart
The ones who play have lost from the start

Love lures you in then makes you a slave
It tortures and binds you the rest of your days

Love is a rose who's petals are fair
Then wilts and fades leaving nothing there

Love is an adventure come take my hand
Lets travel loves highway, leave our prints in the sand

Love is a fantasy, the dream in our hearts
Come make it reality before it departs

Love takes the lonely, and gives them hope
Builds up their confidence and helps them to cope

Love whispers your name in the soft nighttime air
Beckons and calls and embraces you there

Love is a riddle if you solve it you win
You live happily ever after, the light shines from within

Love frees your spirit and makes it anew
Refreshes and nourishes like the early morning dew

Love is a rosebud that grows  within our souls
If we nurture and care for will stand strong and bold
