She felt her wings then remembered
how very tired she had been
She had fought her battle bravely
so God brought her home in the end

Her life was long and fruitful
90 years of love and joy
Raising 5 wonderful daughters,
kissing goodbye her Angel boy

She was a good wife and soul mate
50 plus years by his side
And after he went to Heaven
sometimes at night she cried

Her family was close and loving
to the grandchildren she was like a mom
And when they grew up and had children
to them she would sing her songs

She remembered how hard she tried
to stay on this Earthly plane
She fought for life for 3 hours
trying to block out all the pain

But then there came an Angel
who was sent to take her away
She did not try to force her,
stood by and waited and prayed

Angels to her were special
a bond she had from the start
She surrounded herself with them
always an Angel she was in her heart

So it was only befitting, that
the Lord sent an Angel that day
While her family said goodbye
she stood there beside and prayed

At 9:15 in the third hour
her 90 years flashed by her eyes
And in her last breath that was taken
to her family she said a "goodbye"

So now she sits here in Heaven
admiring the wings she now wears
The Lord has richly blessed her
no more hurt, no sadness, no tears
